Charles D. Hyman & Co. is an investment management company located in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. It opened for business in 1994.
As of January 2025, the company manages over $2.4 billion in assets primarily for individuals, families, trusts, charitable foundations as well as pension and profit sharing plans. Charles D. Hyman & Co. manages portfolios utilizing individual common stocks as well as fixed income securities where appropriate. The practice believes in a relationship driven approach to portfolio management and strives to achieve long-term investment objectives on behalf of its clients.
Chuck has a Bachelor of Arts degree, with distinction, from The University of Virginia (1981) and a Master of Business Administration degree from The University of Florida (1984). He has over 30 years of experience in the investment business.
Chuck has been involved civically with the following: Cultural Council of Greater Jacksonville, The River Club of Jacksonville, The Greenwood School and The Jacksonville Community Foundation.
Celeste R. Beale is the Chief Operating Officer. She has worked for Charles D. Hyman & Co. since 1999.
Celeste has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Florida State University (1983). She has over 35 years of experience in the investment business.
Celeste has been involved civically with the following charities: Emergency Pregnancy Services (Board Member), The Donna Foundation (Board Member), and Dream Come True (Board Member).
Jose M. Hernandez joined Charles D. Hyman and Company in 2001. He helps with the portfolio construction, trading, and client reporting of the practice. He has over 20 years of experience in the financial advisory business.
He also worked with Wachovia Wealth Management as a Portfolio Manager where he managed over 700 million in assets and with Evergreen Investments as an Equity Portfolio Manager with over 400 million under management.
His educational accomplishments include a M.B.A. and B.A. in Finance from the University of North Florida. He is proud to be a U.S. Navy Veteran.
Joy T. Sadler has worked for Charles D. Hyman & Co. since 2004. Her focus is on nourishing relationships and creating positive client experiences.
Joy has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business with a Major in Finance, from Virginia Tech (1989). She has over 20 years of experience in the investment business.
Joy has been married since 1991 and is the mother of two sons.
Chris C. Gray joined Charles D. Hyman and Company in 2020. His previous experience includes 3 years of Merrill Lynch advisor support.
Chris has an Economics degree from the University of Florida (2015).
Chris is happily married to his wife Leslie.
Jennifer M. Koopman (Jen) joined Charles D. Hyman and Company in 2024. She has over 18 years of experience as a public accountant serving a variety clients with business and personal tax compliance.
Jen has a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting (2005) and a Master of Science degree in Taxation (2006) from The University of Central Florida. Additionally, Jen is a Certified Public Accountant with the State of Florida (2007).
Jen and her husband Bobby stay very busy as parents to two active young children.
